Is currently looking for:
General Function:
To provide quantitative data to FGCI's Construction Department in terms of analyzing and controlling construction costs by collecting and studying information required for project construction
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • To identify clients' project needs and analyze construction plans
  • To research and identify materials, equipment and labor costs relating to a project;
  • To gather quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers;
  • To evaluate offer from suppliers by analyzing costing charges, additions, and site requirements;
  • To assess the levels of risk on a project;
  • To solve cost discrepancies by collecting analyzing information;
  • To prepare and submit quotations for work;
  • To maintain cost keys and price masters by updating information;
  • To monitor stages of a project to make sure that cost are kept in line with forecasts;
  • To maintain quality service by following company's standards 
  • To promote a positive work environment that contributes to increasing efficianey and productivity in the department;
  • To perform other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Civil/Mechanical Engineering;
  • Preferably with license
  • With at least two (2) years of experience in construction industry estimating
  • With extensive knowledge in design calculation, bid preparation, coordination, risk analysis and project management
  • Must be an outstanding estimator with strong analytical skills and ability to develop commercial and/or technical documents and frameworks
  • Preferably with knowledge in Auto CAD and preparing Bill of Quantities (BoQs)/ Program of Works (IPOW);
  • Must possess surveying skills and commercial acumen;
  • Must have knowledge in equipment utilization and output;
  • Must be efficient, highly organized and attentive to details;
  • Must exemplify integrity, honesty, and trust;
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to deal effectively with business contacts and employees of the company.
